The TOA Annual Meeting has long been a highlight to each year for TOA Member Events. In the late 1970’s tournaments would gather to share their experiences and knowledge with each other in an effort make improvements, create consistency among events and to provide those events with a voice to the LPGA.
In order to assist with the meeting and maintain contact with the sponsors, the LPGA administrative staff provided clerical support.
The LPGA is an active participant in the TOA’s meeting, providing TOA Member Events the opportunity to meet with key LPGA staff through LPGA sessions, one on one meetings and social gatherings. The LPGA also participates in the Exhibition Hall along with a number of their Official Licensees.
Education at the Annual Meeting is divided into two categories: Information Sharing and Learning. In Information Sharing sessions, such as Round Tables or Workshops, Member Events are encouraged to participate, share their experiences, their successes and failures, and to ask and share advice on tried and true processes from everything from operations, to player relationships. These popular sessions provide valuable insight, creative new ideas, proven practices and an opportunity to meet members of the tournament staffs of other TOA Member events.
Each Annual Meeting also features an Exhibition Hall which provides TOA Member Events the valuable opportunity to meet with TOA Industry Partners. Attendees include apparel, accessory and golf equipment distributors, tournament production companies, gift and award producers, tournament services and technology providers.
A key component is the annual Golf Outing where members and vendors have the opportunity to meet in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoy a beautiful golf course and build business relationships.
At each TOA Annual Meeting, the goal is to provide Member Events with a meeting experience with the highest possible value. Careful planning takes place in order to fulfill the expectations of our members, provide current and relevant education and facilitate the sharing of ideas, information and friendship.
